Description

MELBECKS LOW ROW SD 99 NE (south side) 15/109 Old Post Office GV II House. Early C19. Coursed, rock-face sandstone, stone slate roof. 2 storeys, 3 bays. Rusticated quoins. Central 6-panel door in plain stone surround with plain frieze and cornice above. Sandstone sills and lintels to sash windows with glazing bars. Letter box in wall to left of doorway. Paired stone gutter brackets. Kneelers, ashlar coping, end stacks. Post Office now in single-storey extension to left.
