Description

Orchard House is a house that likely dates from the late 18th century. It is constructed of coursed sandstone and has a stone slate roof. The building has two storeys and three bays, with quoins at the corners. The central entrance features a six-panel door topped by a four-pane overlight, all set within a quoined ashlar surround. The house has 20th-century 16-pane sash windows in flush ashlar surrounds, which may have originally included flat-faced mullions. The roof is finished with ashlar coping, and there are corniced stacks at the ends of the building.
