Description
Ebor House is a house, probably built in the early 19th century. It is constructed of coursed squared sandstone with ashlar dressings, some of which are painted, and features quoins. The roof is renewed with pantiles and has two rows of stone slates at the eaves, along with gable copings. The building has two storeys and three bays, with the first bay being wider. There is a step up to the door, which consists of three vertical panels and has a patterned overlight in a plain stone surround located in the second bay. The flanking paired sash windows have flat stone lintels and projecting stone sills, and a similar design is used for the three first-floor sashes, all of which are plain and have been renewed. The roof features moulded kneelers, plain coping, and banded end chimneys. The left return of the house has a boarded door in a plain stone surround and two sashes with glazing bars. Inside, there are six-panel doors set in architraves, a square open-well staircase with a rounded handrail on stick balusters, and decorated tread ends.
