Description

Westernmost Farmhouse with adjoining byre is a house, cottage, and byre that have been combined into a single dwelling. The building is marked with the initials and date M.R. E.R., M.R. I.R., A.B. E.B., 1732 on the door lintel. It features rendered rubble construction and a graduated stone-flagged roof with kneelers, along with corniced stone chimneys at both ends and in the middle. The structure is two storeys high with a symmetrical three-bay front that includes a central part-glazed door and sash windows. The single-bay cottage section has an inserted garage door with a casement window above it. The adjoining byre at the north end is made of squared rubble and has a graduated stone-flagged roof. It includes two byre doors on the left and a 20th-century porch with a sash window above on the right.
