Description

The boundary stone at Hollow Mill Cross is an early to mid-19th century structure located on the west side of the B6270 in Muker. It stands approximately 750mm high and features a triangular top. The south face is inscribed with "HAMLET of BIRKDALE COUNTY of YORK," while the east face has a bench-mark, and the other sides are blank. This stone currently marks the boundary between North Yorkshire and Cumbria.
