Cottage; probably C16 with later alterations. Former Dame School adjoining north end was possibly 1859 conversion of earlier outbuildings (date, with initials S.W. on panel). Slobbered rubble with quoins to school. Graduated stone flag roof to cottage, graduated slate roof to school. 2 storeys. Cottage 4 bays: low plank door with 2 casements to left, and one to right on each floor. School 2 bays, set slightly forward of cottage; Plank door to each floor on right with stone steps up to 1st floor door; 1st-floor casement with dated panel to left. Glazing bars to all windows. Large corbelled stone chimney to south end of cottage, rendered chimney to south end of school. Coursed, squared rubble area wall c.3 ft high to front of cottage.
