Description

Hill House is a house and cottage that have been combined into one residence. It likely dates from the 18th century, with later additions, including a cottage that was probably added in the 19th century. The building is constructed of coursed, squared rubble, with quoins at the north end of the cottage. The original house features a graduated slate roof, while the cottage has graduated stone flags.

The structure is two storeys high, with the original house comprising four bays and a projecting wing arranged in a 2:1:1 pattern. There is a panelled door in a porch with a hipped graduated slate roof, which has been added to the left of the wing. Above this porch is a blocked window, and there is a single sash window in each of the other bays on both floors. The former cottage is a single bay with a plank door and a sash window above it. The original house has stone end chimneys. There is a lean-to garage attached to the north end of the cottage, but it is not of interest.
