Description
Ash Lea Cottage and Town End Cottage are two cottages, likely built in the late 18th century or early 19th century. Town End Cottage features wet-dashed rubble, while Ash Lea is made of snecked rubble, both topped with a graduated slate roof. The cottages are two storeys high and have a total of six bays. Town End Cottage, located on the left, has two bays with a panelled door set in a pedimented doorcase and a sash window on each floor to the right. Ash Lea Cottage has four bays, with a deeply recessed panelled door also in a pedimented doorcase, and a sash window on either side on each floor. There is an entrance to a passage leading to the rear on the far right of Ash Lea, with a sash window above it. Town End has two rendered chimneys at the ends, while Ash Lea has two mid chimneys, one rendered and one made of brick. The buildings next to these cottages to the north and south are not of interest.
