Description

Spring Field is a late 18th-century house located on the south side of the B6270 road, between Reeth, Fremington, and Healahaugh. The house is built of coursed rubble with a stone slate roof. Originally designed with a double-depth plan and a central hallway, it also includes a service wing to the left. The house is three storeys high and has two windows on the first floor. It features quoins, sash windows with glazing bars, and a six-pane sash window on the second floor. The central window replaces a formerly blocked front door. The facade of the service wing is blank. Architectural details include gable coping, shaped kneelers, and end stacks. The building is included on the list for its group value.
