Swaleview is a late 18th-century house located on the south side of Main Street, Healaugh, near Reeth and Fremington. The house is constructed of hammer-dressed stone with a stone slate roof. It comprises a 2-cell central direct entry plan with a continuous outshut to the rear.

The garden front has two first-floor windows and features raised quoins. A half-glazed door is set within a stone architrave that incorporates a pulvinated frieze. The windows are sashes with glazing bars, all set within stone architraves. The roof has gable copings, shaped kneelers, and end stacks. An attached shed to the right is not considered to be of special interest.
