Description
Upnadown is a house with an attached barn, dating from the mid-18th century. The house is constructed from coursed rubble with rendering and features a stone slate roof. It has a two-cell direct-entry plan, with the barn on the left and an outshut on the right. The building stands two storeys tall and has five first-floor windows, three of which are in the main range.
The front of the house includes a 20th-century glazed door, a four-pane sash window to the left, and another four-pane sash window to the right. The barn has a boarded door and a fixed window, while the outshut features a fixed window. On the first floor, there is a two-light Yorkshire sash window with a four-pane sash to the left and a casement window to the right. The barn has an unglazed opening, and the outshut has a four-pane sash window.
The building is adorned with gable coping, shaped kneelers, and has end and ridge stacks, with a stack at eaves level on the outshut. It is included for its group value.
