Description

This is a former service wing of Draycott Hall, dating to 1730, though it was substantially remodelled in the late 18th century. Constructed of hammer-dressed stone, it is two storeys high and features seven windows on the first floor. A straight joint marks the division between bays three and four. The front has four glazed doors at varying heights, five sash windows with glazing bars, and a single fixed window on the right side. Two sash windows with glazing bars, one at each end of the building and at a higher level, flank a datestone inscribed "E RE 1730" with a blind elliptical panel above. The first floor has sash windows with glazing bars. Milled stone surrounds all windows. A band runs horizontally across the building, above which is a blind parapet concealing the roof, with end and ridge stacks.
