Description
Milestone located on the B6255 in Ingleton, dating from the late 19th century. It features a painted cast iron plate that is bolted onto a millstone grit back plate. The inscription reads: "LANCASTER & RICHMOND ROAD, INGLETON INGLETON HAWES 7 1/4 MILES 9 MILES LANCASTER RICHMOND 25 MILES 33 MILES."
