Description
Bobo's Cottage is a cottage located on Newbiggin Village Street, dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century. It is constructed of rubble with a stone slate roof and has two storeys featuring two first-floor windows. The building has a plinth and quoins on the left side. There is a 20th-century part-glazed door on the right. On the ground floor to the left, there is a 4-pane sash window set in a double-chamfered surround, and to its right, there may be a blocked door or window. The first floor has a 4-pane sash window within a 2-light double-chamfered mullion window, alongside another 4-pane sash window with a slab sill and lintel. An end stack is located on the left side. The cottage is included for its group value and is noted in the North Yorkshire and Cleveland Vernacular Buildings Study Group Report No 177.
