Description
Westbrook House is a house built in the early to mid-18th century, with later alterations. It features coursed rubble and a Welsh slate roof. The building has two storeys and two first-floor windows, with quoins at the corners. The central entrance has a part-glazed door set in a probably renewed chamfered ashlar surround, complete with a dripmould. On the ground floor, there is a 2-light casement window in an ashlar surround to the left, and to the right, a 4-pane sash window in an ashlar surround that has a slightly-moulded arris and a dripmould. The first-floor windows include a 2-light casement in the surround of a 2-light double-chamfered mullion window, and a 3-light casement in the surround of a 3-light double-chamfered mullion window. There is concrete coping on the right side and end stacks. The house is noted for its group value and is said to have a blocked doorway with a lintel inscribed "MDA 1742".
