Description

This is a limekiln dating from the mid-18th century, located approximately 100 metres east of the junction with the B6270 on the south side of the Gunnerside-Crackpot Road in Muker. It is constructed from drystone rubble and has a paraboloid shape. Large slabs serve as lintels over the hearth, and there is a cavity on the left side of the hearth entrance. Additionally, there is a large circular hole at the top of the structure.
