Description
This limekiln, located approximately 200 meters east of Middle Birkby Farmhouse, dates from the 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed of stone rubble and features a west elevation with a segmental-headed opening leading to a recess, which served as the fire hole. The structure also has remains of projecting walls and splayed side walls.
