Description
Nos. 80, 82, and 84 on Main Street in Sedbergh are a row of three small town houses built in the mid to late 19th century. The houses are constructed from mixed random rubble with quoins and feature a slate roof. Each house has a double-depth plan and is single-fronted, standing three storeys tall with one window each. The doorways are located to the left, with vertically-aligned windows to the right. All houses retain their original 19th-century recessed and panelled doors, as well as original hornless sashed windows with margin panes. The ground floor openings are linked by slab hoodmoulds over monolith lintels, while the first-floor windows have matching individual hoodmoulds. A street lantern on a bracket is attached to the left end of the first floor. The interior has not been inspected. This row of houses forms part of a significant group with No. 86 to the right.
