Description

GRINTON HIGH LANE SD 99 NE (north side off Whitaside 15/41 Feetham Holme East GV II House, now byre. Dated 1694. Sandstone rubble, stone slate roof. 2 storeys. 3 first floor windows, central one blocked. Quoins. Central quoined doorway has moulded arris, on a lintel inscription '16 SR 94' AR The windows have been altered, but originally had crude mullions and interrupted jambs. Interior: all 4 rooms were heated. There is a blocked fire window on the left. Stone stairs against rear wall of parlour on right. Low ground floor, cambered beams to first floor.
