Description
Elm House is an early 19th-century house located on the south side of Arncliffe Village Green. It is constructed of coursed rubble with ashlar dressings and features a graduated stone slate roof. The building is two storeys high and has three bays, with raised quoins at the corners. The central entrance consists of a six-panel door set within a plain stone surround, topped by a pitched slab hood supported by stone brackets. The windows are sashes with glazing bars, positioned in slightly projecting surrounds. The gables have copings, and there are stacks at both ends of the house. The interior was not inspected during the re-survey, and the outshut to the right is not considered of special interest.
