Description
This is a 17th-century barn located 100 metres north of the Manor House in Coltishall. It is constructed of red brick and features a black pantiled roof. The barn has four bays and an outshut on the south end. It has a flint and brick plinth with shallow buttresses that have moulded brick caps at the corners and beside the off-centre barn doors. The two southern bays contain honeycomb vents. The south gable wall has a central door, flanked by 17th-century windows with closely spaced wrought iron bars. The gables have moulded brick kneelers and an owl hole at the peak. The roof is an opposed butt purlin design with six irregular bays and struts off the tie beams. The barn is included for its group value.
