Description
The Manor House is a house primarily from the early 19th century, with an 18th-century core. It is constructed of red brick and covered with black pantiles, featuring an 'L' shaped plan and two storeys. The entrance facade faces west and has five windows, with a central early 20th-century semi-circular glazed porch that has a moulded timber cornice. The facade exhibits tuck pointing and a vertical joint between the sections of the building immediately north of the porch. The windows are sash style with glazing bars, stone sills, flat gauged brick arches, and louvred shutters. The eaves are timber bracketed, with modillion eaves on the southern side. The north facade has four windows and an off-centre part-glazed entrance door, framed by a timber doorcase featuring panelled pilasters, a moulded architrave, entablature, and cornice. The ground floor has three-light casement windows with transoms and leaded lights, all set beneath segmental brick arches. The eastern wing contains three windows, with sash windows featuring glazing bars and segmental gauged brick arches on the southern side, while the western sash windows include margin lights.
