Description

This is a late 17th-century house, with later alterations, located in Coltishall Church Street. The building is constructed from brick, colourwashed brick and flint, and has a pantiled roof. It follows a ā€˜U’ shape, comprising an east wing dating to the late 17th century, extended in the mid-18th century to form a double-fronted house featuring curved gable ends and joined by a central brick parapet. Gable ends face the road. The front door is centrally positioned, featuring half-glazing and raised and fielded panels, set within a 19th-century timber doorcase with panelled pilasters, entablature, and cornice. Above the door is a semi-circular window with a gauged brick arch. 19th-century windows are set within the gable walls. Shallow brick piers are present between each bay, rising to the sill height of the first-floor windows. The east wing is built of brick and flint, while the west wing has brick eaves that are corbelled. Each wing has a central axial stack. The roof is an 18th-century pine double-framed construction.
