Description

This barn, located 30 metres south-west of Riplington Farmhouse, dates from the 18th century. It features a timber frame supported by tall Queen post trusses, which include raking struts and curved braces to the tie beams. The end walls are boarded, while the other walls are constructed of malmstone with a facing of flint, along with some painted brickwork and render. The roof is made of corrugated iron and is half-hipped, with a tiled section around and including the projecting hip above the wagon entrance. The barn has a rectangular layout consisting of four bays, with aisles on three sides.
