Description

This is a barn from the 18th century located in Binfield Heath, Shiplake. It features a timber frame with weatherboarding set on a brick and flint plinth, topped by a roof made of corrugated iron and some tiles. The barn consists of three bays, with a west aisle and a central midstrey. There is a central doorway on the south side. Inside, it has a queen-post roof with curved braces supporting the trusses from jowled posts. Attached to the west is a shelter shed that includes a hayloft above. This structure is included for its group value.
