Description
Crowsley Park House is a country house, likely built in the early 18th century with some alterations made in the late 18th century. It features a red brick exterior with flared leaders and a plain tile roof, along with brick stacks. The house has a double-depth plan and is two stories high, with a ten-window range arranged in a 1:8:1 pattern. The central projecting porch has a panelled double door and is flanked by sash windows, topped with a crenellated parapet. All openings have 12-pane sashes. The end bays on both sides project to create towers, each with crenellated parapets. The centre has a shallow stepped gable that displays an armorial shield.
At the rear, the house has a two-story, thirteen-window range arranged in a 3:1:2:1:2:1:3 pattern, featuring a central sash door with a carved stone hood supported by brackets, and a round-headed sash window above. The openings again have 12-pane sashes, with segmental-headed sashes at the three bay ends. Inside, there is a dog-leg staircase with a barley-sugar twist baluster and richly carved spandrels on the steps, which are cyma reversa shaped underneath.
