Description
Fishers is a cottage that dates from the 17th century and 19th century. It features an exposed timber-frame structure with brick infilling, some rebuilding on the ground floor, and additional sections. The cottage has a thatched roof and is oriented with its end facing the road. It stands at 1½ storeys tall and consists of two bays, with a narrow central passage bay and a 19th-century bay added at the far end. There is a 20th-century oak planked door located under a tiled gabled brick porch that has a baffle entry, as well as a 19th-century door at the inner end of the brick bay, which includes a single light window to the side. The windows are 19th-century 2 and 3-light casements. Above the two timber-frame bays, there are eyebrow dormers that feature 19th-century 3-light casements. The roof is hipped and has a decorated ridge piece along with an 18th-century ridge stack.
