Description
Manor Farmhouse is a farmhouse that dates back to the 17th century, with rebuilding and extensions in the 18th century and remodeling in the 20th century. It has a timber-frame core with brickwork that is partly tile-hung, and the roof is covered with plain tiles. The building is L-shaped, consisting of a two-storey, two-bay block of early 18th-century brickwork with a rear outshot, alongside a lower two-storey, three-bay service wing added to the front left of the main block.
The left side features 20th-century bow windows at the end of the main block, with casement windows in the end of the rear outshot. The service wing includes an outshot with an enclosed porch at the end against the main block, which has a 20th-century door, side windows, and gabled dormers above, as well as casements in the other bays. The older part of the farmhouse has a dentilled cornice and a hipped roof, with a large central ridge stack. The roof of the lower wing is half-hipped. Inside the older block, there is a large fireplace with a baking oven, and in the rear outshot, there is an 18th-century staircase and an early 18th-century cupboard beneath it.
