Description
Church Cottage is a 17th-century cottage built with a timber frame and infilled with plaster and brick. It has a thatched roof and stands two stories tall with three bays. The central doorway features a 19th-century top-glazed door and is sheltered by a gabled rendered porch with tiles. On either side of the entrance, there are 20th-century three-light canted oriel windows. Above these, there are 19th-century two-light casements, with a small two-light casement positioned over the porch. The main timber-frame members are exposed, and the roof is half-hipped on the right side, showcasing the complete frame, while the left gable is covered with pantiles. The roof also features decorated ridge pieces and a large ridge stack set longitudinally.
