Description
Vincents Cottage is a cottage that dates from the 17th century, with early 18th-century and 20th-century alterations. The front of the cottage features exposed timber framing, while the majority is constructed of brickwork in Flemish bond, sitting on a high brick plinth above a malmstone base. The long north elevation is similar but has been altered and ends in a boarded section, with other walls made of painted brickwork. The cottage has a thatched roof that is gabled at the front and hipped at the rear, featuring one eyebrow dormer on the north elevation and another gabled dormer with a tiled roof and cheeks. The outshot has a tiled roof and runs along most of the south side. The structure is timber-framed and oriented at right angles to the road, with recladding. There are casement windows, including a five-light window with a bottom-hinged shutter on the ground floor at the front, and a plain doorway in the 20th-century outshot.
