Description
Ivy Cottage is a 17th-century cottage, originally two dwellings, with 18th-century cladding and a mid-19th-century addition. The cottage is constructed of brick and thatch. The east front is a single storey with an attic, featuring three windows. The walls are of English bond, with cambered arches over the ground-floor openings and a visible plinth. The north gable displays exposed bricknogged framing, revealing the attachment of the front wall, while the south end is tile-hung above brickwork. The thatched roof is half-hipped and includes eyebrow dormers. A rear section comprises an outshot block and a two-storeyed block, roofed with slate. Casement windows are present, along with two boarded doors in plain frames. One door is protected by a canopy supported by brackets.
