Description

Springfield, Nos 1 and 2, is a pair of cottages dating from the 18th century and the early 19th century. Originally a single, symmetrical house of two storeys and two windows, it has a later addition to the north side, also of two storeys and two windows. The walls are built of brick in a Flemish Garden Wall bond, featuring cambered arches over the openings and a prominent plinth. The roof is covered with plain tiles. The windows are casements, some with old leaded lights. There are two boarded doors set in plain frames. The building is listed for its group value.
