Description
This mid-19th century house is located on Queen Street in Twyford, Enfield. It is constructed of brick featuring patterned blue headers and has an old plain tile roof. The building is two stories high with nine bays, and the narrow center bay is slightly recessed. The entrance consists of a central four-panel door that is top-lit and sheltered by a gabled open carved timber porch.
On the right side, there is a tripartite French window with a tripartite sash above it, and a small sash window over the door, all set within chamfered and camber-headed openings. The left bay contains 4-pane sashes in similar openings, with a brick hood mould on the ground floor. The center bay features a dentilled cornice, and there are end stacks with offset heads.
Additionally, there is a 19th-century street lamp mounted on the wall at first floor level on the left end. This house is included for its group value with other nearby structures.
