Description

The Old Malt House is a small house dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of brick with an old plain tile roof. The main facade has a central 6-panel door, above which is a 2-light square fanlight set within a solid frame and sheltered by a flat hood supported on carved brackets. Five small 16-pane sashes are evenly spaced on either side of the door and above it, all set within flush frames and feature rubbed brick arches. A 1st floor string course and a moulded timber cornice, now concealed by a gutter, run along the top of the facade. The house has end stacks and gable end walls. To the rear there are 2 storey, 3 bay wings at each end.
