Description

The dairy beside Home Farm Cottage is a late 19th-century building featuring split tree trunk log walls with stud walls inside. The roof is thatched and sweeps down to a verandah supported by tree trunks. This elongated octagonal structure has doors at each end, with three-panel wide doors that are top-lit with stained glass. The remaining walls are adorned with three-light mullioned windows, also featuring stained glass. The verandah surrounds the building and is paved with flint. The tall hipped roof adds to its distinctive appearance. Inside, there is a tiled floor and two octagonal timber columns that support the ends of the ridge. The walls are simply tiled, with a marble shelf running all around the room.
