Description

Manor Farm Cottage is a cottage dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the 18th and 20th centuries. It is timber-framed with brick infill and brick additions, and has a colourwashed exterior with a thatched roof. Originally a two-bay cottage built in the 17th century, it was extended in the 18th century at the roadside. The cottage is now a one-and-a-half storey, three-bay building. A doorway, with a 20th-century door and a gabled porch, is located below a stack in the centre bay. There are 19th-century two-light casement windows on each side. Exposed timber framing is visible on the first floor, and there is a 20th-century eyebrow dormer with a three-light casement above the door. The roof has a half-hipped design with a small 18th-century ridge stack.
