Description

Ivy Cottage is a cottage dating from the 17th century and early 19th century. It features a timber frame that is encased in brick and now has a pebbledashed finish, with an added brick bay. The original roof was thatch, but it has been replaced with asbestos tiles, and the later bay has a tiled roof. The building consists of two bays and is one and a half storeys high, with a two-storey bay added on the right side in the 19th century. The central entrance has a 19th-century four-panelled door, flanked by 19th-century two-light casements. Above the door, there are two eyebrow dormers, each with two-light casements. The roof is half-hipped, with a central chimney stack. The taller 19th-century bay features a large two-light casement set under a camber-headed opening.
