Description

Lower Woodside Farmhouse is a late 17th-century house, originally two cottages, with later 19th-century alterations. The upper walls are tile-hung, with a weathered bond on the first floor, while the lower walls are of English bond brickwork with a plinth. The roof is of plain tiles, with a catslide at the rear, and the building has massive tapered end stacks with diagonal flues. The front of the house is symmetrical, with two storeys and an attic, featuring two windows and casement glazing. Doorways are located at each end. A single-storeyed rear extension was added in the 19th century.
