Description
Street House Farmhouse is a house that has older origins but is mainly from the 18th century. It features brick walls laid in English bond, with a coping at the parapet, flush blue bands at the eaves and first-floor level, a high plinth, and cambered arches over the openings, which are covered by plain cement architraves at the windows. The roof is hipped and covered with tiles.
The east front is wide and two storeys high, with five windows that have Victorian sashes in exposed frames, including narrow side panes. There is a six-panelled door with a simple pedimented frame, which is accessed by five steps.
At the south end, there is a rear extension that creates an irregular south elevation, featuring many alterations. The hipped roof has an uneven ridge, and the walls are made of brickwork with mixed bonding, including a first-floor band on the west side. The windows are casements, with three upper windows having staggered vertical glazing bars. The interior elevations of the L-shape are similar to the exterior but do not have the parapet.
