Description

Upper Woodside is an early 18th-century house, significantly restored in the 20th century. The walls are built of brindle brickwork in a Flemish bond pattern, with bright red flush dressings. It features quoins, rubbed flat arches over the first-floor windows, cambered arches over the ground-floor windows, and a moulded first-floor band. A plinth runs along the base. The roof is tiled, with a coved plaster eaves cornice. The east front has a symmetrical design with five windows arranged over two storeys. The windows are 20th-century sashes. A large, 20th-century, half-octagonal brick porch with Gothic windows and a lead dome is attached to the front.
