Description

This mid-19th century gateway is located in Selborne Blackmoor, adjoining South Lodge. It consists of a wall extending northwards from the lodge porch, interrupted by a pedestrian entrance. Beyond this is a pair of gatepiers and a short section of wall terminating in a pier, enclosing the driveway. The wall has a Gothic-style coping and a plain set-off plinth. The gatepiers are plain and have a steeply-sloping, weathered top. The structure is listed for its group value.
