Description
The churchyard boundary wall, lychgate, and service building were constructed around 1870 by Waterhouse. The rectangular churchyard is enclosed by a plain malmstone wall, featuring Bath stone dressings, a weathered top, a higher cap, and flanking buttresses at changes of levels, corners, and rear openings. There is a pedestrian gateway with plain piers that have buttresses and simple Gothic ornamentation on the steeply-weathered tops. On the north side of the wall, there is a small rectangular shed made of similar materials, which includes three plain chamfered door openings and a tile roof, with corrugated iron on the north slope. The main entrance through the wall is a lychgate designed in a rich Gothic style, featuring a tile roof, a timber frame with two bays, and a stone base wall.
