Description
Brockbridge Farmhouse is a farmhouse that dates from the 16th century, with additions from the 18th and early 19th centuries. The building features exposed massive timber framing with ironstone infill, while the later framing on the south side has painted brick infill. The wings display painted brickwork in Flemish bond. The farmhouse has two hipped thatch roofs with eyebrow dormers, and a low pitched slate roof on the wing. The front (northwest) elevation has one storey and an attic, with two sections above three windows, and the northeast wing has one storey with one small window. The windows are casements. There is a late 19th-century half-timbered porch with a gabled thatch roof. The rear elevation is similar to the front, with the south gable being roughcast.
