Description

The building is a stable block, later converted into a cottage, dated 1805. It is constructed of red brick with grey brick headers on the ground floor, and has weatherboarding on the first floor. The roof is covered with plain tiles and has a hipped form, topped with a weather-vane dated 1805. A tall brick stack rises from the roof slope to the west. The building faces the road end-on and has irregular window placement on all sides. To the north, there are two windows on the first floor, with one window below. To the west, there are three first-floor windows. To the east, three first-floor windows are present, along with two on the ground floor; the outer first-floor window is a tripartite semi-circular design with a round window in the centre. The ground-floor windows are sash windows with glazing bars. The north-facing first-floor windows are sashes and the ground floor window below is a casement. The east side includes a main entrance with a door to the left, a carriage entrance to the right, and a doorway on the first floor accessed by a wooden stairway. A hipped porch shelters a half-glazed door.
