Description
No. 25 Southover High Street is a house dating from the mid-18th century. It features a ground floor made of red and blue brick in a chequer pattern, with the first floor covered in plain and scalloped tile-hanging. The roof is plain tiled with a moulded wooden cornice and is half-hipped to the left. There is a double stack chimney on the ridge to the left of the center and end stacks at both ends. The house has two segment-headed dormers, one on the left and one in the center. The layout follows a pseudo-baffle entry plan and consists of two storeys and attics, with a three-window front. The sash windows are set in open boxes, with the two windows to the left and right of the entrance being wider than the others. A panelled door with a moulded surround is located to the left of center, and it is sheltered by a gabled porch with bargeboards supported by wooden posts and half walls.
