Description
The walls and gazebo to the garden of Fairhall are likely from the 18th century. The walls are made of flint with red brick copings, forming an almost regular rectangular enclosure measuring approximately 25 yards by 40 yards. The walls vary in height between 5 and 10 feet and extend along the street between No 21, Southover High Street, and the wall of the garden of Southover Old House. There is a central gateway leading into the garden. The gazebo, which has a square plan, is located at the southeast corner of the garden walls. It features a pyramidally-hipped plain tiled roof with a finial, a glazing bar sash window on the west side, and an arched entrance with double panelled doors that lead up seven steps.
