Description

This is a house, originally dating to the 16th century, with a significant refronting in the early 19th century. It is timber-framed, now faced with stucco. The ground floor is rusticated with a band and a projecting cornice featuring acanthus decoration above a coped parapet. The roof is covered in Horsham slabs, with end stacks. The house is two storeys high, with a basement, and has a regular three-window front. It features tripartite sash windows within outer bays, with single-pane glazing bars above a central entrance. The front door is panelled, with glazed upper panels and a fanlight, set within a recessed surround that has panelled reveals and a moulded surround incorporating key- and impost-blocks. Cat-iron railings with vase-head standards enclose the areas to the south.
