Description

This is a house dating from the early to mid 18th century, with plasterwork added in the early to mid 19th century. The ground floor is faced with channelled cement render and a plat band, while the first floor is simply rendered. It has a moulded wooden eaves cornice above a plain tiled roof. There are two ridge stacks, one to the left and one to the right, and two segmental-head dormers. The house is two storeys with attics and a basement, featuring a regular three-window front with recessed basement lights visible above the pavement. A central doorway, accessed by raised steps from the street, has a panelled door, transom light, and flat hood supported by carved brackets. Cast-iron railings, likely dating from the later 19th century, run along the north side, including tall bollard-shaped standards.
