Description

Crossways is a cottage that dates back to the 16th century, specifically 1588, with later additions from the 17th and 18th centuries, as well as 20th-century extensions and restoration. The building features a mix of wall materials and has a thatched roof. It is two stories tall with irregular window placements. The roof is hipped and slopes low above the east end porch and the south single-storey extensions. The cottage has an exposed timber frame with brick infill, displaying three phases of early construction, and the upper west wall is tile-hung. The windows are casements, and there is a wide brick porch added in the 20th century.
