Description
No. 214 High Street is a house that has been converted into a pair of shops. It dates from the mid-19th century, with an earlier wing on the left. The building features tile-hanging and has a moulded eaves cornice beneath a hipped slate roof. It is three storeys high and has a slightly irregular front with four window openings. The second floor has sashes without glazing bars, while the first floor has tripartite sashes. The left wing is hipped, single-storey, tile-hung, and has a plain tiled roof with a pedimented dormer. There are two ground-floor shop fronts, both from the 20th century; the left one is a single shop front with a glazed door to the left, and the right one is a double shop front. The building is included for its group value.
